This Code of Conduct policy has been written to foster and maintain Employee, Contractor, Client and Consumer trust and confidence in the professionalism and the integrity of Samaritan's Neighbor by ensuring that all involved from: (employees to include subcontractors and independent contractors as well as our customers) adhere to appropriate standards of conduct as set out in this policy which maintains and enhances the reputation of the company. To achieve this goal all are expected to embrace and or adhere to the following:
• A responsibility and commitment to providing a safe and secure workplace for employees, contractors, clients and consumers by following all applicable work rules, safety standards as well as proper dress code.
• An understanding that Employees, subcontractors and independent contractors are under some form of surveillance at all times when working on client premises.
• A commitment and adherence to high standards regarding work procedures and interactions with employees, contractors, clients and consumers.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and honesty in providing a harassment free work environment.
• An adherence to all legal standards to be maintained in the workplace whether on company property or at customer/client premise.
• Avoid situations in which financial or personal interests or dealings are, or may be, in conflict with the interest of the company.
• Avoid engaging in any activity that would conflict with the ability to perform their duties.
• Avoid activity which could be detrimental to, or be in competition with, the company’s business activities.
• Protect or take reasonable steps to prevent theft, misuse or damage to company’s and clients assets.
• Adhere and follow all policies as outlined in the company handbook. The following are examples included but are not limited to types of behavior that would be considered infractions of our Code of Conduct. Such behavior may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
• The theft or inappropriate removal or possession of property; from client locations or from company premises and or vehicles.
• Working under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, possession, distribution, sale or use of alcohol or illegal drugs while on duty.
• Fighting or threatening of any type, sexual, unwelcome harassment or other unlawful violations.
• Possession of dangerous or unauthorized materials; i.e. firearms, knives or explosives.
• Unauthorized use of telephones, personal email to any other email system of client or company.
• Unauthorized bags, backpacks in the workplace.
• Disrespectful behavior against employees, clients and or consumers.
• Inappropriate attire, any contractual financial discussions with others including customers AT ANY TIME.
• Violation of company and client safety policy and procedures.
